Choosing the right bridal course, for where you are now
Three certifications and three short workshops. Which one to pick depends less on price and more on how much practice you already have. Here is how I help students decide.
Once a week, a prospective student calls or messages and asks the same question. “Which course is right for me?” Usually they have read the website and gone back and forth between two options. Here is how I think about it, and how I would help you decide.
Start with what you can already do
If you have never touched a professional brush, never worked on someone else’s face, never sat down with bridal foundation in your hand, you are an absolute beginner. The honest answer is the 25-Day Professional Bridal certification. Not because you cannot pick up the 30-Day Elite. You can. But the 25-Day starts from the very beginning. We cover skin prep, base, eyes, hairstyles, draping, professionalism. By Day 25 you will have done one full bridal portfolio look on a real model, and you will know what running a session feels like.
If you are already a working parlor MUA or you have been doing makeup for friends and family for a year or more, you do not need the foundational weeks. The 15-Day Pro Start is calibrated for you. Day 1 is a skill check. From there we focus on bridal specialisation: South Indian and Christian looks, saree draping, professionalism, one portfolio look. You finish in three weeks.
The 30-Day Elite assumes you have the basics already. It adds airbrush, multiple portfolio looks, live models provided by the studio, and advanced bridal styling. It is for the student who wants to leave with a strong portfolio and the ability to handle premium clients.
What about the short workshops?
The short workshops are not certifications. They are skill-building days for a specific topic.
- Glow Up: Self-Makeup Essentials is for brides-to-be, working women, and students who want to do their own makeup well. It is not for someone planning to become a professional MUA.
- 1-Day Pro Skills Booster is for junior artists who want a refresher on handling problematic skin and product control. Bring your own kit.
- 2-Day Saree Styling Masterclass is for anyone, professional or personal, who wants to learn proper draping for themselves and for clients.
Students who already have a certification often come back for a short workshop. Saree draping is the most requested. Most MUAs leave their certification programme strong on face work and weaker on draping. The two-day masterclass closes that gap.
One more question to ask yourself
Where will you do this work after the course? If you are planning to set up your own studio or work freelance, the 30-Day Elite is worth the higher fee because of the portfolio looks and airbrush training. Portfolio matters when you are pitching yourself.
If you are joining an existing parlor or working out of a home studio with referral clients, the 25-Day or 15-Day Pro Start is enough. You can always upgrade later.
Either way, do not pick the course based on price alone. Pick it based on the skill gap you want to close. Then tell me when you can start, and I will hold a seat in the next batch.
